Visual PathBuilder is a CAD/CAM editor software and visual programming
environment for Janome® Desktop and SCARA robots and can be used
for automatic generation of toolpaths and waypoints for various applications
like dispensing, tightening, soldering, etc. The software works like
a 3D CAD application with DXF, DWG, IGES, STL, OBJ, Gerber RS274D
and Gerber RS274X vector and bitmap graphics import and export features
and the ability to create instant working robot programs. |

The
software
takes care of alignment between drawing and real world
coordinates by
using one or two reference points. The toolpaths are
automatically rotated
and moved to appropriate positions if necessary. You are able
to edit
the program data with a simple to use editor and optionally
add point
execution data (like PointJob numbers, conditions, line
speed). The software even offers a built-in bitmap tracing engine
allowing to convert
graphics or fonts in bitmaps into paths for your robot. Visual
PathBuilder
can use black & white bitmaps for toolpath tracing. Visual PathBuilder uses the following simple pattern for creating offline-programs:
